Thankful

Bryan is super busy at work and we basically haven't seen him all week.  He has been arriving home as "early" as 8pm and as late as almost 10pm.  So basically Kaylie & Kelly haven't seen him all week b/c they are already in bed by the time he gets home and I'm about to be in bed if not already.  So we are all missing the big guy. Poor guy he is working 6am-6pm - 6 days a week plus has been helping his Mom after work with some plumbing issues.  He did manage to make it to Kaylie's 1st softball game on Tuesday evening so that was good.  She was so sad when he told her he probably wouldn't be able to make it, he was late but able to catch her batting and playing short stop.  She has another softball game tonight so hopefully he'll make this game too and since it's Friday maybe he can sneak out a little early.  I am thankful that I have such a hard working husband.  There are a lot of things I complain about with Bryan - mostly that he's not much help inside the house...like cooking, laundry, dishes, etc.  BUT all of that doesn't really matter b/c I am so lucky to have a man that will break his back for his family.  Plus, he's handy and can just about fix all home repairs, he takes care of all our vehicles and thank goodness for that b/c I know nothing about mechanics.  He keeps our yard and the outside of the house in tip-top shape and he's an awesome daddy.  So - today I just wanted to say I am thankful for all that I have with my man.  I will try not to complain as often when he's not so much help on the domestic side of things!!!

A little side update on Kelly - she is so close to crawling!  I can't leave her in her room for even 1 minute without her ending up on the other side of the room b/c she rolls and rolls and then rolls into something.  Like last night I laid her down in the middle of her room for 1 sec to start the shower for Kaylie and I suddenly heard her crying...I RAN to her room and she had rolled into her rocking chair on the opposite side of the room.  Now for the last 2 nights she has been up on her knees with her arms pushing her body off the ground and rocking back and forth. Soooooo - it won't be too much longer before she is on the GO.

Speaking of all this - I need my handy man to get something around the loft area and stairs PRONTO before Kelly is officially crawling.  Maybe on his 1 day off he can do that for me.  ;)

My little Butterball

Kelly belly has started to eat baby food.  Actually, for about a month or so she has been.  We started with the cereals and now worked our way to fruits in the morning and vegetables at night.  She loves all fruits so far and most vegetables except peas...she hates peas!  Last night we tried the little Gerber Puffs things and that was funny.  I took some pics after I cleaned her face from eating carrots b/c it looks so gross when people think their messy kids faces are cute.  Anyway, it was funny!  Kelly wasn't sure what to think about the puffs and then I think she was confused b/c they kept sticking to her hands. I'm pretty sure Kaylie and Coby enjoyed them more then her.  I think Kelly is Coby's new BF.  I joked with Kaylie this morning that I put some puffs in her lunch thinking it would embarrass her but she was like, YAY!  LOL!

Weekend Update

This weekend was a busy one...mostly because of softball. The opening day parade was on Saturday morning so all the teams ride in the back of trucks with their teammates and drive down Mason Rd. throwing candy and bead necklaces as the crowds cheer them on. It was fun and Kaylie had a good time. We rode in my Dad's golf cart which made it so much easier for me with the baby. Afterwards, Kaylie went with Grandma & Grandpa to the carnival by our house. Then back home and off to softball practice at 4:30. It was a long day because it started around 6am. We were all pretty tired after practice, but Kaylie wanted to stay the night with my parents so I dropped her off and put the baby to bed. Bryan and I were able to rent a movie, eat popcorn and just chill out. It was nice. Sunday was much more relaxed. Kaylie and I washed Bryan's truck the "old fashioned" way and then she went swimming in the neighbors pool. Bryan BBQ'd for dinner and that was it...here we go again with another work/school week. Below are some pics from this weekend.

 This is Kaylie's team.
The team getting ready to ride out!
Kaylie's team banner - my Dad's company sponsored them.  Thanks L&O!
 Kaylie at the neighborhood carnival.
Our 1st strawberry from the garden...yummy it was so good too.
And one pic of Kelly Belly b/c I felt bad I don't have any of her on here.  :( I'm sure it's b/c I am pregnant and emotional but I'm feeling a lot of guilt right now because of being pregnant and poor Kelly not getting enough time to be the "baby" before the next baby is here.  She won't know any different but I do and it makes me sad.  I have been crying a lot lately and I'm really hoping it will pass soon b/c I feel like an emotional mess!! You'd think I would be used to this since I just did this a few months ago. ;)

Weekend Fun

This weekend was lovely.  We spent Saturday hanging out with Nana & Pop and then Cyndi came over with Joven & Ellye.  Bryan BBQ hamburgers and we all stuffed our faces and enjoyed the nice warm weather.  Afterwards everyone came to Kaylie's softball practice and that was fun.  Fun for me b/c I had people to talk with.  :)  Bryan is usually watching Kaylie very hard and analysing what he needs to work on with her so lucky for me I had adults to chit-chat with.  Anyway, Nana got some super cute pics of Kelly I can't wait to post!!  Below is a SUPER cute one of Kelly and Kaylie from yesterday, that I managed to get.

HOW CUTE IS THIS!!

Spring Break - Rodeo Fun

Last week was spring break so my friend Danielle and I took our daughters to the rodeo.  It was fun but I think we spent too much time at the carnival and I was wore-out!  But I did feel good b/c the girls had so much fun and really got along great!

Gone Fishing

Kaylie went fishing this afternoon with her Grandpa and then Bryan met them at the pond in my parents neighborhood.  My Dad texted me this pic...it was too cute not  to share!

Good Job Kaylie!!  :)

Lucky #3

I never thought I would be a mommy to 2 beautiful healthy girls.  Honestly, if you had asked me 3-4 years ago if I would have any more kids I would have said, nope - no more for me and Bryan.  Kaylie was to be our 1 and only.

At one point in our lives that was very hard for Bryan and I to swallow.  I saw 3 different Dr.'s, I took hormones, I even had an operation to see what was wrong. This was the worst surgery I have had to date - way worse than the 2 c-sections I have had.  Side note: this surgery actually made me pass out once I got home and I just so happened to pass out in our bathroom and hit my head on our bath tub and had to have 10 staples put in the back of my head, it was terrible.

Bryan had to have testing done, and to my surprise was great, no issues with him what-so-ever.  It was good news but again hard to swallow b/c Bryan smokes like a chimney and drinks like a fish and I am the "healthy" one but all of the issues were b/c of me.  We went to Fertility Specialists and they told me I only had a 10% chance of having any more babies on my own.  They told me our only option was IVF which costs around $10-15K per treatment.  Bryan and I really thought about this option but in the end decided if it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be.

As hard as it was I really closed the door on the whole baby making chapter of our lives.  I thanked God for blessing Bryan and I with our precious Kaylie Marie.  Honestly, I really thought about all of the woman in the world that can't even have 1 and how lucky we were to be able to have Kaylie.  We gave away almost every single baby item saved in the attic and were moving on.  We were in the process of putting our house on the market and I hadn't been feeling very good. Bryan literally forced me to take a pregnancy test we had from years ago saved in the cabinet.  It was actually really random but I reluctantly took the test and it was positive.  It was crazy because it didn't seem like it could be right...Bryan ran to the store and bought more tests and they were all positive.  We both cried.  It was such a happy moment in our lives.

As crazy as it is we were able to share that crazy - happy moment again.  I wasn't feeling well again and similar story line, we had a pregnancy test in the cabinet and Bryan told me to take it so I did and immediately it was positive!  I'm not gonna lie I cried again but this time it was tears of shock and a little fear.  LOL.  I mean Kelly Belly is 6 months old!  I was just starting to feel back to myself and now wa-la preggers again!!  It's a bit of a shock but it's a wonderful blessing and even though I'm not sure at the moment how I will do it, I know I can and will and God must really be smiling up there at us.  I think he is even laughing a little.  All those years we tried and tried and I think he was just teaching me a lesson to trust him and let him be the one to plan and tell me not the other way around.

So I was planning on waiting until April 10th to post this b/c then I am past my 1st trimester and out of the "danger zone" sort of speak.  Plus, I am considered high-risk due to my issues. But I decided to go ahead and share the news early because I did see my Dr. this week and my ultrasound was perfect.  The heartbeat was heard loud and clear and everything appears very normal.  She did not seem nearly as concerned as she was my 1st couple visits and she even told me "Congratulations" this time!  SOOOO - here we go again.  Lucky #3!

Yep, that's me pregnant with Kelly-Belly about 1 week before her due date.  OMG...I just can't believe I am doing this again and so soon.  I was seriously not pregnant for like 5 months.  But like Bryan keeps telling me it's better to go ahead and knock this out before I get any older.  Also, this really will be our last baby.  Boy or no boy.  ;)

Kell's Bell's New Toy

We bought Kelly a saucer-play thing (not sure what the actual name is) she LOVES it!  It's so cute to see her bounce in it like a little maniac.  :)

Of course Kaylie HAD to do bunny ears on Kelly Belly!

Bye Bye Buick

Bye-Bye!!

This weekend was yuck all weekend, rain - rain - and more rain.  Blah!  Despite being stuck in doors all weekend we did have some excitement.  I posted an add on Craigslist for the Buick and (not to my surprise) my emails went through the roof!!  I tried to tell Bryan a LOT of people (in Houston in particular) would want this car but he was all, "Whatever, your dumb, this is a waste of time...etc."  He sure did have to eat his words by Sunday morning b/c it was sold and we had a nice little chunk of cash in hand.  :)  I pinched him and MADE him tell me "he was sorry and I was right."   So the Buick is gone and some girl named Shakina is happy.  Oddly - I kind of miss the car.  I don't know why really b/c I complained about it for 8 years but still I do become emotionally attached to my cars and while this one was my least favorite to date, it is still a little sad to see her go.  Oh well - life moves on and the reality is I need a bigger vehicle...like some sort of SUV.  So that will be the next challenge - getting me and Bry to agree on something!  Oh JOY.

Monday's R No Fun

Most people hate Monday's b/c well who wants to go back to the reality of life after the weekend.  Not me that's for sure!  Plus, it doesn't help that yesterday was so pretty outside and today is again.  It makes me want to lay out at my parents pool and get a tan.  Although, it might be a little cold for that still.  I can dream of it though as I sit inside all day staring out the window....

Anyway, today is me and Bryan's 8 year anniversary!  Wooo-hooo...we made it another year.  ;)  It's odd b/c even though we are celebrating 8 years of marriage its really so much more than that.  We have been living together since 2000 and we started dating in 1996.  We have made it through a lot and really grown up together and not apart, as so many high school sweet hearts do!  As much as we both drive each other crazy we do still love each other very much and wouldn't want our lives any other way.  So Thank you Bryan for being my husband and loving me no matter what and for being an awesome Daddy!

This weekend was pretty good...Kaylie had softball on Friday and Sat. and even though she was sick she pulled through on the Friday night practice and did really well at the batting cages.  It was her first time and while she did look like she wanted to run after the 1st pitch her coach really walked her through it and she ended up hitting a few balls!  Saturday practice she was a real trooper...she got hit in the chin and shook it off and then she was grazed in the arm with a ball hit by another player (and that looked like it HURT) but again she shook it off like a big girl.  She told me afterwards she really wanted to cry after that one but she sucked it up!  GO KAYLIE, way to be tough! :)

Some weekend pics:
Kaylie & Kelly about to go on a walk...Kelly is missing one sock b/c she kicks one off all the time.  I put it back on before we left!
Poor baby she is teething like crazy!
Kaylie and her friend Amy at the park.
Kelly holding her bottle like a big girl...she is actually starting to get mad if you don't let her do it!

Ongoings

Kaylie said her throat hurt this morning...uh-oh that usually means 1 thing - strep throat.  BUT I am keeping my fingers crossed it's just allergies.  It didn't look red this morning and she was fever free, fingers crossed we stay that way.  Softball is driving me crazy!!  I feel like it is taking over our lives.  Practice 3 days a week is way too much for me and I'm not even taking her, Bryan is!  Also, having practice on Friday night and on Saturday at 4pm just sucks.  What is going to happen when it's April/May and we want to go to the beach??  We usually go to the beach every weekend once it gets hot so Softball is throwing a major wrench in my pre-beach plans.

Kelly's 1st tooth is almost visible.  Once it's showing I will have pics to post.  She is such a happy, healthy baby again and I'm loving it.  I hope she stays sick free forever!

More news will come later but I have learned a lesson this week in keeping my mouth shut, or maybe it was a lesson of don't count your eggs until they hatch type of thing!!  ;)
